This past year was full of change. Good and bad. Not only did changes take place in my personal life, they took place in my business. For the first time I feel like I’ve really gained a vision for what God wants my business to look like, and because of that, I hope that 2011 will hold even more change in my professional life. However, equal to the amount of change 2010 has held, I’ve also learned a lot about priorities. I had so many amazing plans for my business this year. . .plans that didn’t happen due to things outside of my control. God had other plans for me, and I’m learning to accept that and be ok with the fact that not all of my amazing dreams and goals were accomplished. It wasn’t that I didn’t work hard–I did, and God still blessed my business. I’m just a driven person. . .a perfectionist. . .a dreamer, and letting God drive the pace of my goals getting accomplished was hard. So, I’ve spent more time focusing on being with family (even if that means just my husband at this point), taking care of my health, and helping family through crises instead of constantly being glued to my computer. And I’m learning that’s ok. Those things are more important than achieving the business model I have been dreaming of. I’m not a failure when I’m doing what God wants me to do.
In other news, things are going to be changing around here. So bear with me for while as I slowly get things moved around the way I like them.
On those personal notes, I want to share some of my favorite pictures from the last year, both personal and professional. Also, I just want to add that my clients are AMAZING. I love love you all and had such an awesome time taking pictures of your beautiful faces!
First off, I married my amazing husband on a FREEZING COLD DAY in January (next three pics taken by Ginger Ivey Photography).

In the early part of the year, I shot some fun bluebonnet sessions, family sessions, and some weddings.

The awesomest bridesmaid shoes ever.

This lovely bride was my only local wedding! I think I spent as much time traveling as I did shooting this year.

I have to insert a pic of me with one of my brides just for kicks. :)

I also did a bathroom makeover of our guest bath.

AFTER

In the summer I did one of my all-time favorite family sessions!

And this kid makes my heart stop. Every time.

I shot my first newborn session, and LOVED IT.

This stunning bride was just incredible to photograph.

I know I say this every time, but this was an AMAZING engagement session. Love love.

And the day after the amazing engagement session, I got to do Samantha’s bridals!

This cute pic came from a short little session I did for my niece so her dress could be advertised on Etsy!

My brother and his wife’s dog. Adorable, no?

The famous and most fabulous AmyRose.

Then Samantha’s beautiful Texan wedding in the fall.

I am in love with this pic!

Victoria’s session was delightful, and styled after AmyRose’s (you can check out more pictures from both of their shoots under the category “senior”)!

To finish off the year, I did several family sessions for the holidays!

Thank you all for your support and encouragement over this last year. I can’t wait to see what 2011 holds!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
