Saturday evening I made it home from a week spent in North Carolina with my good friend Rachel. I had planned to do a couple of photoshoots with her and her family while I was out there, but we were all a little nervous about the cold rainy weather that was predicted in the forecast…. cute! love that curly hair ! Nice picture! Wait, you lent her your earrings too? :D Last year I was inspired by another photographer to do a series of interviews with local photographers. Over the course of the past several months, I have had many delightful interviews and developed closer relationships with the photogs around me and it has been SO MUCH FUN! My vision has since expanded to include photographers… I’ve never tried an interview with myself before. That could be enlightening. Can’t wait to read those interviews. Last weekend was the Southwestern Photojournalism Conference. This was my second time to attend, and I have never benefited more from it than I did this year! As you probably saw in my last post, there were some pretty amazing speakers lined up for the event, most of whom I knew nothing about until arriving…. sounds like fun! Earlier this week I met with my friend Erin for an interview (photographer interviews will soon be coming to the blog!). When she walked in, she was carrying these darling flowers in a jar leftover from a shoot she did the day before (flowers by Kate Foley Designs), and they brought such sparkle and cheer… Jeremy Cowart? I am seriously seriously jealous now. |
